FUNCTIONS OF THE PATHWAY:

It propagates and accumulates nourishing energy within the body. It forms a mutually complementary pair with the yang connective tissue meridian. It regulates the flow of energy through yin pathways and promotes coordination and equilibrium among yin pathways. It is linked to nourishing energy.

A yin paired pathway that leads from the medial surface of the calves, the ninth point of the kidney and across the groin, where it comes into contact with the liver, kidney, spleen and stomach pathways. It then continues across the lateral part of the body to the other side of the throat and up to the tongue.
